DESU knows that good design becomes even more important in a challenging economy. In a time that calls for more than aesthetics, we begin to look beyond pure form and toward quality design – pieces that are both beautiful and utilitarian.
DESU DESIGN is proud to present the updated Mantis Barstool, a version of which made an appearance at BKLYN DESIGNS in 2008. Built to stand solid, the three-legged Mantis combines machine precision with handcrafted details into one striking piece perfect for the home or office.
DESU’s multifunctional Either/Or table also fits the recession design mold. This simple, lightweight piece can be used as a side table or a lap tray with equal ease. The Either/Or is even useful in a child’s room, as it can “grow” with the child and adapt to a changing environment.
Finally, we’re excited to tell you about VOOS, a new design hub in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, where you can see several DESU DESIGN pieces. VOOS’ mission is to highlight thoughtful, local design; it was understood from the beginning that DESU’s clean lines would be a natural fit. Check out the article about the showroom in the Home & Garden section of New York Times on April 2nd.
And don’t forget – until April 1st you can get free shipping on the Symbol Coat Rack. If you’re in New York, you can stop by VOOS on North 3rd Street and take one home with you – otherwise, call us or go online anytime to place an order.
