Mercury Table
The Mercury table was inspired by the effect of surface tension on liquids such as water or mercury. Much like a drop of water beading up on a freshly waxed car, the mirror polished stainless steel top is emulating a drop of mercury sitting on a flat surface. Constructed with steel and stainless steel. Originally designed as part of the RE/BUILD exhibition for Brooklyn’s Gallery 1889.
